I added some new items to my Etsy shop.  The items from the new LOVINGLY LINE are now for sale.  They are perfect for the upcoming Valentine day.  I will write more about the album and cards but here are some pictures.

Leaf card - Lechatelier line

Somehow I completely forgot to show the fourth card from LECHATELIER LINE (available at my ETSY STORE).

Photo album - Lechatelier line - part 2

Pages 2 and 3 of Lechatelier album:

I tried to keep the decor of the second page to a minimum ....

... because of the "hidden" photo placeholder and the journaling tag.

I really like the colours, the crackle paint embelishment, and the stenciled lace design on this page.

Page 4 has several "surprises":

... a cute small pocket for your favorite keepsakes,

...a photo placeholder with a spot for picture caption

You might remember the image from my POST BACK IN SEPTEMBER.  

This is Lechatelier photo album and it is now available at MY ETSY STORE.  Since Etsy allows only 5 images per listing (unless you pay extra) I will show all the details of the album here.

The album was a breeze to make, I think it is mostly because of the paper:  I fell in love with BASIC GREY'S CURIO COLLECTION the moment I saw it.  I bought several sheets, paired it up with paper from my stash and began creating.

Surprisingly, the album cover was the most challenging part.  I just could not find a colour that would tie everything together.  Finally, I decided to use HELLO LUSCIOUS collection from Basic Grey.  I contemplated between 2 different designs and picked the green one.  I really like how it pairs up with all the embellishments.

By the way, it is the same paper I used for ONE OF THE CARDS from this line.

I decided to leave the inside of the front page almost bare.  To add some functionality, I made a roomy pocket for extra photos, keepsakes, or notes.  

A cute card, attached to the pocket creates a perfect place for journaling.

The second page was actually the first one I made.  I was excited to try TIM HOLTZ'S DISTRESS CRACKLE PAINT and was super happy with results.

I aged the die cut card and lightly stamped onto it.  I think it would be a nice spot for a photo caption.

Finally, I layered paper and embellishments to decorate the page, without making it too ornate.

Butterfly card - Lechatelier line

This is my favorite card from Lechatelier line:

I am not sure whether I like it because of the cute paper butterfly ...

... or because of the crackled embellishment ...

.. or maybe because of the stenciled butterfly outlines ...

Whatever it is, I am hoping that a very special message for someone dear and loved will be written on the back of this card.

Lechatelier line - Rose

It is not quite fair to call this card "second", because it was the first one I created for this line.

My favorite item is the cute golden embellishment that secures the rose and the leaf:

I finally did it!!!  I opened my Etsy store!

Welcome to  BRASS & RUFFLES

an online boutique of paper-goodness, filled with one-of-a-kind greeting cards, unique photo-albums, wedding invitations, bookmarks, and paper embelishments. 

The store is only a couple of days old and I am still figuring out logistics.  Meanwhile I am happy to share with you my first "for sale" creation - Lechatelier line.  Lechatelier line was inspired by French castles, Baroque style and vintage ephemera.

This is "Blossoms" - a blank card that could be used for any occasion. 

The card measures 4,5'' x 6,25'' and comes with a white envelope.

Over the next week I will be adding more items to the BOUTIQUE and will be sharing them wiht you over here as well as at BRASS AND RUFFLES TUMBLR.
