{Lovingly line} Bird card

This bird card is one of those creations that "just happened".  Somehow the colours, the shapes, and all the embellishments got assembled almost on their own ...

When I looked at the finished card I couldn't believe I was the one who made it.

It just doesn't look like any of my typical cards

Having said that, I absolutely love how it came out and hope that you like it too.

I feel that this card is very manly.

It would make a perfect gift for a serious, manly-man of your life ...

But to keep things fun and surprising I added a pocket with a tag for your very personal, sweet, loving message.

The back of the card can also be used for writing, but I really like the idea of having a place for more intimate words.

{Lovingly line} Butterfly card

Recently I've added new items to my Etsy store but didn't get a chance to show them here.  I am planning on fixing this and showcase items from the new line, called LOVINGLY. 


After working on LECHATELIER line I wanted to make something bright and airy.  I began a new project (which is still "in works") but the feel of it was just not right at the moment.  The pieces I was creating were bright and fun, but not very airy or romantic.  So I decided to break my rule of finishing one project before starting a new one and got back to choosing paper for a new line.

I picked light shades of blue and pink, beige and light purple, fresh greens and pastel yellow.

For embellishments I chose butterflies and birds, tiny brads and pearly buttons.

I then collected lace and tulle netting in white, blue, and turquoise. It really helped in creating the airy and romantic feel I was in a mood for.

And this is how the new LOVINGLY like was created.  Here is BUTTERFLY - the first card from the line.  It is light and romantic - a perfect card for a tender, loving message.

The card is blank inside.  It measures 4.5''x6.25'' and comes with a white envelope.

Butterfly card is now available at BRASS AND RUFFLES.

Shop update

Cupid card - Lovingly line

Before the holiday craziness will sweep this blog I want to share the new line I created for BRASS AND RUFFLES. "Lovingly"-  is about butterflies, birds, light colours, and love.  Here is a sneak peak of the first card for you, my dear readers.

This is CUPID card

The colour combo of this card is quite unusual for me

but I really like how all the elements got tied together

I also really like the background - those cute little cupids make me smile every time I look at the card.

Unlike postcards from LECHATELIER LINE, this one is a card (it opens!).  I left inside blank for your very own personal message to someone you love.

Over the next few days I will be adding 4 cards and an album to my ETSY STORE.  I will be sharing them over here as well, so don't forget to check back.
