Every spring Montreal Chapter of Ikebana International holds a 2-day exhibit in Japanese Pavillion of Montreal Botanical Garden. This year I decided to take some pictures to share with you. Unfortunately, the lighting in the pavilion was not cooperating with my camera.
Arrangement of Cam Ly Le - a very talented sensei of Koryo Shoto-Kai school
Sogetsu school
Ohara school
Another arrangement from Ohara School
An overview of the Tea Room.
I am pretty sure this one is Ikenobo School.
Ikebana info:
IKEBANA INTERNATIONAL is an organization founded in 1956 by Mrs. Ellen Gordon Allen. With its motto "Friendship through Flowers", Ikebana International unites over 8000 members from 60 countries.
HERE you can find links to different Ikebana schools. Unfortunately most of the websites are in Japanese, but if you do not speak the language you can still look at gorgeous arrangements.
